Safety and Hygiene

Two very important factors when designing and building a machine for food industry.

An open frame with moving parts behind it offers you a nice possibility for cleaning parts. Though it gives the operator and cleaner an opportunity to put his hands through the frame.
To deal with this kind of problems we keep the openings just the size needed. When necessary we will implement shielding or even movement sensors.

The use of plunger cylinders (machine lowers by gravity) reduces the risk that someone can be crushed underneath the moving part of a machine. (Unlike a differential cylinder which actually pulls down the moving part of the machine!)

Besides regular technical measures our machines are most likely equipped with a “BackUp”-Alarm. (An alarming sound when the moving part of a potential dangerous machine lowers). Imagine the possibility of someone stepping into a high lift- tilting machine. Often we also equip the machine with a bright flashing light.

Direct safety and hygiene are important, but so is your health. Our machines are designed to give you ergonomical assistance so that you do not need to bend over so much an you can safe your back!

Obviously all our machines are delivered with a CE mark added. This indicates that van Oirschot takes the full responsibility for the safety of the machine. Considering normal use as described in the user manual which is provided both in the Dutch language and in yours!
